ABOUT THE REGISTRATION DIVISION

The Registration Division has a staff of eight analysts (six Senior Securities Analyst and two Securities Analyst) and two administrative support staff.  Three of our Senior Securities Analysts have completed a rigorous course study administered by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and earned their certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).  The Registration Division also has a Securities Analyst Supervisor who holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license with the Alabama Board of Public Accountancy. The Registration Division is charged with the initial and ongoing licensing registration process for individuals and firms that market and sell securities and financial services to Alabama residents.  Any person of a firm that offers and/or sells securities or provides investment advice within, into or from Alabama must be registered with the ASC to legally conduct business.  The Registration Division issues numerous registrations, licenses and exemptions on an annual basis.  The Registration Division is also responsible for the processing of fees associated with applications and renewals.
